About Robyn

With over 15 years of experience in human rights and trauma-related fields, I bring a compassionate and trauma-informed approach to supporting clients on their healing journeys. My professional background spans working in areas related to children affected by armed conflict, violence, exploitation, and trafficking, as well as addressing LGBTIQ+ rights and migration issues in Canada. This unique path has shaped my deep commitment to fostering resilience and recovery for individuals and families.

I hold a Master of Social Work from Carleton University, specializing in trauma and clinical social work, and a Master of Environmental Studies from York University. My practice focuses on helping clients affected by childhood trauma, intergenerational trauma, and secondary trauma. I also have a special interest in supporting parents' mental health and infant and early childhood mental health.

In therapy, I take an integrative, attachment-centered approach, drawing on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), narrative therapy, Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, and parts work. My specialized training includes Parent Child Interaction Therapy through the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario's Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Team. Additionally, I’m a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist and a Registered Facilitator for the Circle of Security Parenting Program.

I am dedicated to continuous professional development and have completed extensive training in areas such as racial trauma, compassion fatigue, DBT, CBT, grief and loss, and supporting trans children and their families. This diverse expertise allows me to tailor therapy to meet the unique needs of each client, offering a collaborative and empowering space for healing.

Outside of work, I find joy in spending time in nature, travelling, and reading cozy mystery books. These moments remind me of the importance of balance and connection—values I strive to foster in my practice.

If you’re ready to take the next step toward healing and resilience, I’d be honored to support you on your journey.
