Managing Compassion Fatigue and Vicarious Trauma

A 3 part online training series

 

'Helping professionals' encounter unique stressors in their work environments that can

have significant impact on their psychological and emotional well-being.

 

Clients with complex needs, systemic barriers, limited resources, unpredictable funding, changing environments, trauma exposure and critical incidents...

these are just some of the complex issues care-providers have

to navigate in their work on a regular basis.

This type of occupational stress can lead to issues like compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma. 

In this workshop we identifying risk factors and warning signs, explore strategies for reversing the effects, and developing resiliency skills to maintain wellness.

Who it is for

This training series is designed for helping professionals and volunteers in various sectors such as social and human services, mental health services, addiction services, criminal justice, education, animal care, and healthcare.

How it works
 

Option 1  -   Live Online Workshop

We will schedule three separate 90-minute sessions for your team using an online learning platform. Participants will be able to interact and ask questions during these live sessions. 

Option 2  -   Online course

Your team will be given access to login in to an online course where they can work through the material at their own pace. The course includes short 3 chapters with several short lessons in each, including video presentations, worksheets and group discussion boards. 

A live Q&A online session may be scheduled so that participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, get feedback and engage in open dialogue regarding the training series.
