My Approach

My professional style is relaxed and down-to-earth. I have a deep respect for the integrative nature of well-being so I work with my clients to facilitate the kind of change that can be felt holistically. I work collaboratively with clients to develop realistic goals that fit their life while focusing on creating profound shifts through awareness, self-compassion and integration on their journey of self-discovery.

I use several different therapeutic modalities including Traumatic Incident Reduction, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness, yet, at the root of my practice is a heart-centered approach. I believe that there is wisdom in our own personal experiences and I want to assist my clients in fostering personal insight in order to understand and honour their own personal needs.

Consulting

Clinical Consultation

Clinical consultation is a process where I assist individuals or groups who are delivering clinical services by providing support, education, and guidance regarding client cases, ethics, and overall professional practice.

For Teams
Facilitated monthly sessions for teams to collaboratively explore and discuss challenges in clinical cases, difficult work situations, and our own psychological well-being. Focus of sessions may vary between.

For Social Workers in Private Practice
Providing therapeutic services in private practice is a continuous learning experience. Clinical supervision is an opportunity to develop your professional judgement, clinical knowledge and skills, and deepen your critical self-reflection. (Group consultation is also possible depending on number of requests for services)

Psychological Health and Safety Consultation

Using a collaborative approach, I can help an agency, manager or team develop and implement a customized strategic wellness plan to support a healthy culture and reduce the risk of occupational stress and burnout.

Guided by the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace, we assess the staff and policies to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

This specialized consultation is a problem-solving process in which I provide advice and knowledge about evidence-based approaches and constructive feedback around interventions.

Critical Incident Group Debriefing

Critical incidents are situations that occur outside of our normal frame of reference and challenge us to understand and cope with what has happened.

Critical Incident Group Debriefing (CIGD) is a short-term group intervention process that focuses on an immediate event. CIGD is one of several methods that may be utilized to lessen the likelihood of people experiencing symptoms of trauma and stress after a critical incident.

This group debriefing process provides a place for participants to talk and share experiences, and for the facilitator to teach and provide information about the impact of critical incidents.

If your team has recently gone through a critical incident, reach out to schedule a group debriefing session.

Public Speaking

Insightful and engaging presentations that every person in a helping profession can relate to with a perfect balance between "real talk" and evidence based information that both inspires and educates.

Something for every type of event:

  • Staff retreat

  • Lunch & learn

  • Personal development days

  • Panel

  • Conference

  • Annual General Meeting

  • Team building event

  • Webinar

Training

My workshops are interactive and include practical applications.

Using an experiential based delivery approach, I apply wellness concepts to "real life" work situations and teach self-enhancing tools and strategies that can improve workplace, team and individual health.

Every presentation can be customized to meet the groups needs and interests.
